Thesis, 2015

Thesis project at ECAL, which received a distinction. Can we manipulate perception into a temporary reality? I'm fascinated by the manipulation of books as objects. The adventure of the body manipulating the object, which in turn depicts the body, creates a sensual artistic intersection I explore in my thesis. Charlie Chaplin once said in his final speech in The Great Dictator: "We think too much and feel too little." This is my starting point for examining the dynamic relationship between material and meaning.
